The Malpani Industrial Group will organise a grand interfaith community wedding ceremony on Wednesday, 30 April, the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya at Malpani Lawns in Sangamner. In this special event, several couples will begin their marital journey amidst the presence of thousands.
The registration process for couples wishing to participate in this ceremony has already begun and is receiving an enthusiastic response. Initiated by the Malpani family, this public welfare initiative has reached its silver jubilee, thanks to the overwhelming public support.
These marriages, solemnized for just ₹1, have earned widespread admiration across the state. Hindu, Muslim, Christian, and Buddhist brides and grooms are married according to their respective religious customs. Thus, these couples begin their new life together in the presence of a large, diverse gathering.
As a wedding gift, the Malpani Group presents each couple with household items worth approximately ₹25,000, including a steel cupboard, utensils, and racks. Around 15,000 to 20,000 people from all walks of life attend the ceremony to bless the couples.
