Celebrating Pune: ‘Abhiwadan’ musical program,CII Yi Pune and ISDS at BNCA,Vi Foundation,Slurrp Farm

On the occasion of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi’s 101st birth anniversary, a musical program ‘Abhiwadan’ has been jointly organized by Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal and Kannada Sangh, Pune. The program will be held on Saturday, February 4, at Shakuntala Shetty Auditorium, Karnataka High School, Erandavane from 5:30 PM onwards. The entry will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will begin with the performance of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi’s son and vocalist Shrinivas Joshi and grandson Viraj Joshi. A Bandish composed by Shrinivas Joshi on Pt. Bhimsen will be presented by both the vocalists. This will be followed by an Abhangvani program by renowned vocalist Pt. Anand Bhate. The program will conclude with a rendition of Kannada bhajans by Pt Upendra Bhat, senior disciple of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi.

The youth wing of Confederation of Indian Industry – CII Yi recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU ) with Institute of Sustainability & Development Studies (ISDS) at MKSSS’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women ( BNCA ) . Under the MoU , CII Yi and ISDS will work together to enable students and industries to work towards sustainable development. Both entities will work together to empower people to action for the cause of sustainable development through skilling, education, research, advocacy, and innovation. There are some exciting trainings lined up on Drone technology for sustainable agriculture, sustainable wildlife etc .

Vi Foundation, the CSR arm of Vi, in partnership with Ericsson India has set up a state-of-the-art Robotic Lab in Sayajinath Maharaj Vidyalaya and Jr. College, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune. This is the first among the ten labs to be set up by Vi Foundation in the six states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Gujarat. The Digital Lab was formally inaugurated today by Amarjeet Singh, Vice President & Head of Customer Unit, West India at Ericsson, in the presence of Rohit Tandon, Cluster Business Head – Maharatshtra & Goa, Vodafone Idea Limited.

Millet-based children’s food brand Slurrp Farm today unveiled “Yes Moms”, a digital-first community of mothers to enable mothers to connect with, learn from, and support one another. Yes Moms was launched at a high-decibel event in Mumbai by mother, Bollywood actor, and Slurrp Farm investor, Anushka Sharma. The event saw the presence of over 150 mothers from across the country. Yes Moms will create a safe space for moms to discover, debate, and engage with each other on topics related to food and nutrition as their children journey through babyhood into childhood and beyond. It will enable mothers to connect, share and celebrate the sisterhood of motherhood and learn from each other’s experiences. A panel of nutritionists and pediatricians will also help arm mothers with the right information.
